Rett Vincent and his wife have finally made the transition to Ohio. God bless your new diggs Rett.
As for me, I am getting ready for a trip to Nashville. I love music... give me some of that old time rock 'n roll, some blues or funky old soul... and add in some contemporary Christian and hip hop as well.
When we were young, there was only one music chart and everything was on it. Elvis, Johnny Cash, Tennessee Ernie Ford, the Eagles, Creedence Clearwater, Lynard Skynard, Alabama, would all be considered country or southern rock today. Well, ever since American Idol Season 5 in 2006, a special guy from North Carolina touched my heart--Bucky Covington--there was something about him. I got this impression to pray for him and I have been a fan for the first time in my life (other than Paul McCartney for a few months at age 13). So, I have started listening to a little more country and southern rock since that is what he sings.
I will be traveling to Nashville to see Bucky in concert. He has taken the Country Music scene by storm with his first CD. His first hit single will take you back to our childhood when we remember it being a totally different world than today. At our age, we can relate to every single line in the song including drinking from the garden hose, saying the Pledge of Allegience and praying in school, to all the stores being closed on Sunday.
Here is picture of me giving Bucky some love.

Bucky was recently part of a live radio event and a friend of mine took the attached video. Listen to A Different World, by Bucky Covington (there are other videos you can watch of him when it is done). Keep your eyes and ears out for this guy-- he will be around for a long time.
